After toiling for many nights in the basement of The Bankle
working on new material, The Ashland Bump plans to take
its act to the stage in 2005. First up will be February 5th at
Paycheck's Lounge in Hamtramck. Showtime is 10:30pm, so
get a sitter, and hoist a few with us. More shows to follow in
the spring and summer. TAB also plans to try its hand at
recording an EP (or a full-length if we get inspired).
Following in the footsteps of The Monument Club, it will be a
strictly DIY effort -- lots of retakes and knob-twiddling.
The Ashland Bump -- glowing glass Detroit post Alt Punk
from the Bankle Basement, influenced by GBV, The Clash,
Wire, and countless guilty pleasures. In other words, a
broken axle and bent frame waiting to happen.
